From Boston and New Hampshire: Take I-93 North to Concord, New Hampshire. Exit I-93 to I-89 North. Stay on I-89 North for about an hour. Cross over the Connecticut River into Vermont. Stay on I-89 North and take Exit 1 (about two miles from the Vermont border – it is the exit for Woodstock/Quechee/Rutland). Make a left turn at the end of the ramp onto Route 4 West. Stay on Route 4 West through Quechee, Taftsville and the village of Woodstock for approximately 13 miles. DO NOT GO FASTER THAN 25 MPH THROUGH THE VILLAGE OF WOODSTOCK! Continue on Route 4 West for approximately 3.5 miles past the village green in Woodstock. You will pass the Woodstock Union High School on your left and eventually a True Value Hardware store on your left. Mangowood Restaurant is located just past the hardware store and corn field on your left. There is one entrance immediately after the corn field and before the restaurant. There is another entrance just after the restaurant but before the Mangowood sign. There is another entrance just beyond the sign but it is a very difficult and dangerous left turn. If you miss these three entrances cross over the covered bridge on your left and turn around on the other side of the river.
From New York City (and surrounding areas), Connecticut and Western Massachusetts:
Take I-91 North into Vermont.Take Exit 9 Hartland/Windsor and turn left at the end of the ramp onto Route 12 North and follow the signs for Woodstock. You will travel through Hartland Four Corners and Hartland Three corners on Route 12 North for approximately 8 miles. Turn left on Route 4 West (Route 4 and Route 12 are now the same road). Travel 3 miles into Woodstock. DO NOT GO FASTER THAN 25 MPH THROUGH THE VILLAGE OF WOODSTOCK! Continue on Route 4 West for approximately 3.5 miles past the village green in Woodstock. You will pass the High School on your left and eventually a True Value Hardware store on your left. Mangowood Restaurant is located just past the hardware store and corn field on your left. There is one entrance immediately after the corn field and before the restaurant. There is another entrance just after the restaurant but before the Mangowood sign. There is another entrance just beyond the sign but it is a very difficult and dangerous left turn. If you miss these three entrances cross over the covered bridge on your left and turn around on the other side of the river.
From Upstate and Western New York
and Points South West:
Take I-87 North (Adirondack Northway) to Exit 20 for Lake George. At the bottom of the exit turn left onto Route 9 North. Turn right onto Route 149 East at the first light. Travel 12 miles into Ft. Ann and turn left onto Route 4 East. Travel 12 miles into Whitehall and bear right on Route 4 East (near the Grand Union). Travel 35-40 miles into Rutland. At the end of the four-lane road, turn left on Route 4 East/ Route 7 North. Travel approximately 3 miles and turn right staying on Route 4 East. Follow Route 4 East through Killington and Bridgewater approximately 22. Mangowood Restaurant is located 6 miles beyond the intersection of Route 4 East and 100A on the right hand side immediately past a covered bridge. There are three entrances for the restaurant. One is before the restaurant sign. The second is after the restaurant sign but before the restaurant building. The third is beyond the building just before the corn field. DO NOT GO FASTER THAN THE MARKED SPEED LIMIT THROUGH THE VILLAGE OF BRIDGEWATER!
From Burlington,Vermont and Points North:
Take I-89 South to Exit 3 Bethel. Turn right onto Route 107 West and follow for 3 miles, bearing left at the junction of Route 107 and Route 12. Continue for 2 miles and turn left onto Route 12 South. Travel 15 miles to Woodstock through Barnard. DO NOT GO FASTER THAN 25 MPH THROUGH THE VILLAGE OF WOODSTOCK! After passing the Marsh-Billings Farm on your left you will come down a hill to an intersection where Route 12 (Elm Street) continues over a metal bridge and River Road meet. Take the hard right onto River Road and follow until it meets Route 4 at the Little Theatre (which will be on the left across the intersection). Take Route 4 West (do not turn left and go over the bridge) approximately 3.25 miles. You will pass the High School on your left and eventually a True Value Hardware store on your left. Mangowood Restaurant is located just past the hardware store and corn field on your left. There is one entrance immediately after the corn field and before the restaurant.
